The HECCMA faculty development committee is made up of directors of teaching and learning on each of the member campuses.  They work to support professional collaborative opportunities for faculty members, including an annual New Faculty Reception, a tri-annual Faculty Chairs’ Workshop, and shared faculty development workshops and presentations, most of which are hosted by a member institution.

Challenges and Principles for creating an online classroom community  

In this workshop, faculty participants will:

  • hear a refresher on online pedagogical principles
  • get tips and tricks from faculty colleagues from various disciplines
  • explore how these ideas may be applied in their own teaching practice
